HPCR Resources

HPCR's portal on "IHL in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory" provides online access to reference documents and original policy briefs. A selection of materials translated into Arabic and Hebrew available through the e-library.

HPCR's International Humanitarian Law Research Initiative portal comprises links to tens of thousands of documents, offers briefing notes on the latest issues and debates related to IHL, and sponsors electronic conferences on key aspects of implementation.

The Peacebuilding Initiative is a project of HPCR International, in partnership with the United Nations Peacebuilding Support Office and in cooperation with the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research (HPCR) at Harvard University.
The elaboration of the thematic areas was informed by a core advisory group, representing various constituencies of the peacebuilding community. The structure, content and materials of specific thematic areas were then created by a team of consultants, research assistants and interns and revised with comments from advisers representing a variety of geographical, organizational, and ideological perspectives.

This platform has been created to facilitate access to the Online Course on Humanitarian Law and Policy as well as discussions among participants and faculty.

Online Course

Following extended research on distance learning methodologies, the Program on Humanitarian Policy and Conflict Research at Harvard University is pleased to invite you to take part to this unique online experience. This Online Course is part of the ongoing research activities of the Program and is offered at no cost to humanitarian professionals.
